Busy Little Truck was an idea born out
of a desire to make a difference in people’s lives – in a new way.

After losing their family home in Cyclone Gabrielle, Ben and Lauren moved their 3 kids to Tauranga in search of a fresh start and new purpose.

With 20 year’s experience in the Police, Ben has always been a community-minded problem solver and for several years, he also ran a DIY Dads volunteer group in Auckland, rallying a group of mates for monthly DIY days. This also extended to helping people in the community who needed an extra hand around their homes and properties.

Ben has always loved the satisfaction that comes from solving practical problems and transforming spaces. Whether it's repairing a fence, fixing a gate, tidying an overgrown garden, or clearing away unwanted junk, he enjoys finding simple, practical solutions that make a real difference.

Known for being super friendly, mission-driven, and always up for a good laugh, Ben brings a people-first approach to every job. Lauren keeps everything running behind the scenes with the admin and jumps in with the extra muscle when needed. Together, they combine practical problem-solving with genuine care, making Busy Little Truck about more than just getting a job done- it's about helping people tackle the tasks that have been weighing on them and leaving their property in better shape than they found it.

THE BLT STORY

OUR APPROACH TO YOUR PROPERTY

We know we're not just doing a job - we're looking after your home, your property, your time, and the things that matter to you. Whether we're repairing, maintaining, clearing, or tidying, here's how we do things at Busy Little Truck.

PROFESSIONALISM & TRUST
Our customers trust us to care for their homes and properties with respect. We're reliable, friendly, and tidy, and we always aim to leave every space better than we found it.

SIMPLICITY & EFFICIENCY
We keep things simple from the first enquiry through to the finished job. No complicated forms or waiting around. We make it easy to book, communicate clearly, and show up when we say we will.

CARE FOR PEOPLE & PROPERTY
We treat every property as if it were our own. Whether we're carrying out repairs, tidying a garden, clearing unwanted items, or tackling general maintenance, we take pride in doing the job properly and paying attention to the little things.

SUSTAINABILITY
We do our best to reduce waste wherever we can. That means repairing instead of replacing when practical, recycling materials, donating reusable items, and making responsible choices about what ends up in landfill.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
We're building strong relationships with local organisations like Waipuna Hospice, local op shops, and the Tauranga Transfer Station. These partnerships help us support the community, give usable items a second life, and ensure waste is handled responsibly.
